Great Guana Cay Settlement is the smallest of the cay settlements with a resident population of about 150 people. For many years it had shown very little growth, however in the past few years a number of restaurants, resorts and developments have been or are being built which now make Great Guana Cay the area of most dynamic growth in the Abacos.
The island is 5 1/2 miles long, and its greatest asset is the spectacular beach that runs almost the entire length of the island. There is a grocery store, liquor store and several gift shops.
Here are just a few popular activities that you can get up to while visiting Great Guana Cay.
Snorkeling - Take an excursion to one of the popular protected marine parks where you can enjoy a leisurely snorkel around the elk horn coral and abundance of sea life with Dive Guana Or you can just snorkel right off the various beaches sprinkled around the island.
Sailing Charters - Rent a sailboat and explore the many deserted islands we have nearby. Island hopping to the other settlements are also another way to explore the surrounding area. If you are not experienced with operating a sailboat, there is also the option of a captain for hire.

Scuba Diving - Abaco is known for its spectacular diving spots. There are a number of marine parks and wrecks that are frequented. Dive Guana has daily excursions to a number of lively dive spots.
Fishing Charters - Abaco is also known for its world renowned game and deep sea fishing.
